Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Finn, who appeared in popular TV shows like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles this Monday following treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to reports.
"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his relatives shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
A Prolific Career on Screen
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, like:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a six-member improv team named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.
The actor is survived by his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
