Nigel Farage Claims Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his viewpoint on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I expect a walkout by educators very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and does not appear to have designated an education lead.

However, Farage’s remarks suggested the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. And, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to instruct people that there are two points of view and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

At the US event, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He said such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I am serious. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of freedom. It offers these beautiful courses for free to all who wish to learn.”
