Raducanu made it to the third stage in three out of four Grand Slams in the current campaign.
The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments in 2025 as a result of a health issue that has affected her for the last week and a half.
The 22-year-old was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to recover prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.
Her upcoming training will include her coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating again next season.
She underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.
Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.
Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the third set against Zhu due to the lower back problem that has troubled her during parts of the season.
These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.
She held three match points prior to falling to Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.
She secured 28 matches in the current season and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.
