Administration Decries 'Democratic Hoax' as Additional Epstein Estate Photographs Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have published a fresh batch of what they labeled "disturbing" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—a portion of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 released later on Friday represent a small number of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Featured among the notable figures shown in the initial batch are well-known figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Statement
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the pictures for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative remarked, maintaining that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by consistently demanding transparency, disclosing reams of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Remarks
The images were published devoid of explanation, but according to a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"It is time to stop this White House obfuscation and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a statement.
The publication of these images coincides with the oversight committee pressing on with its investigation into the Epstein case.
